Now, let’s fast-forward to the latest development in health care, as USA Today reports, “The FDA is expected to approve a new type of shot to help prevent the disease that killed millions of Americans: Covid-19 vaccine.” This vaccine is similar to the previously used rotavirus vaccine, but will work differently in that it is made from a combination of proteins and enzyme therapies instead of a single protein or enzyme. This is reportedly a safer type of vaccine than the one which was recently approved for children. It is estimated that the new shots will be available to all children by the end of this year.
The USA Today piece does not mince its words when it comes to the dangers of this new drug administration, nor does it downplay the importance of vaccines in the overall wellness of our society. It is true that in the current climate there are many threats to our national security, and this administration is working hard to protect our children. However, this recent development may come too late, as the US already lacks a cure for this disease. Furthermore, the UK’s chief medical officer has called for a review of the bat vaccines, because researchers discovered that there are problems with the way they treat bats that could cause them to become immune to the drug. So, while there may not be a cure for Covid-19 vaccine-borne encephalopathy, at least this drug doesn’t stand alone.
