OMAHA, Nebraska (October 11, 2021) – KidGlov, a boutique marketing and advertising agency based out of Lincoln and Omaha, Neb., welcomed Mike Adams, chief executive officer of Purple, to a recent episode of their podcast, Agency for Change. The episode explores the relationship businesses have with disabled people and the incredible work of Purple, an organization that’s changing the conversation around disabilities.

“It was a pleasure to talk with Mike Adams and learn more about this incredible organization,” said Kelley Peterson, vice president nonprofit creative director at KidGlov and host of the Agency for Change podcast. “The world’s largest minority group is disabled people. Disabilities can be visible or hidden and it was fascinating to learn how kindness and business can be blended to make disability inclusion the norm.”

Based out of the UK, Purple believes in bringing disabled people and businesses together by changing the conversation from one of disadvantage and inequality to one of potential and value. The organization’s flagship annual event, Purple Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, encourages businesses to create awareness and improve the experiences of disabled people they employ and serve. Though originating in the UK, the event is quickly finding audiences across the globe.

“Only 10% of businesses globally have strategies to access the disability market. But disabled people want to contribute, give value, be part of society. At Purple, we’re looking to help organizations and businesses shift the disability conversation to one of potential and value,” said Adams.
